Job description:

Manages all aspects of a single Think Together educational site to ensure that the program meets educational and recreational objectives and is managed in accordance with policies and procedures including safe work practices. Responsible for filling in at sites that require temporary assistance during leaves and vacancies or due to workloads. Supervises all staff and volunteers assigned to the site to provide well-coordinated student assistance. Meets all documentations requirements. Liaises with parents, collaborators, school management, donors and visitors to display the site and the program positively.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all staff, students and volunteers in the program at various sites depending on need

  • Manages site staff under the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Coach

  • Evaluates classroom supervisors and other part-time team members.

  • Manages the site budget including staffing, supplies and fundraising.

  • Maintains comprehensive student and volunteer records and product reports as required.

  • Designs a site program schedule together with the Think Together administrative team such that students have access to snack time, homework help and a variety of recreational, educational and enrichment activities.

  • Works with collaborative partners (if applicable) to implement programs.

  • Works with other providers to develop on- and off-site enrichment opportunities

  • Communicates with school administrators, school staff and parents on a regular basis regarding program activities.

  • Works with Fund Development department to coordinate site visits for volunteers, community leaders, school administrators and funders.

  • Assists with volunteer orientations and works with the Volunteer Department to recruit new volunteers.

  • Nurtures and builds strong relationships with volunteers to develop good communication for accountability and long-term commitment to volunteering.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Implements the safety plan at the site.

  • Implements other human resource policies and procedures.

  • Implements other plans or management requirements related to the site's owner or manager.

  • Attends monthly Site Coordinator meetings and other meetings and trainings as requested.

  • Supervises, trains and develops subordinates in line with the objectives, policies

Education And/Or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or 1 year of program experience within THINK Together in lieu of Bachelor's degree is required

  • At least one year in a supervisory or leadership position is highly preferred.

  • Previous classroom experience is required.

  • Must meet the minimum qualifications set by the partner district for a classroom instructional aide

Other Skills:

  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, public officials, private sector officials, parents and community leaders.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others.

  • Excellent organizational and management skills.

Background Checks/Testing:

  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
  • Provide a clear TB test

Our Service Planner Development Program (SPDP) was designed with you in mind. As a Planner Trainee you will receive hands-on training to develop and prepare estimates, work orders, drawings, construction plans, and bills of materials used at the planning stage of new engineering and construction in small to medium-sized residential and commercial/industrial projects. Guess what? There's more. As a trainee, you get six months paid training on a full-time basis. The program includes formal classroom training in Chino, CA combined with on-the-job training at your future work location. Once you successfully pass SPDP, you will graduate to become a full-fledged, bona fide Service Planner. A day in the life: * Driving through our scenic 50,000 square mile service territory to meet, interact, and partner with onsite team members and customers to review job requests and project designs * Using techie tools like AutoCAD to prepare work orders for field construction crews. * Investigating and resolving customer inquiries regarding electrical lines and equipment. * Coordinating activities with all different kinds of people from customers, drafting technicians and engineers to other utilities, local governments and construction crews. * Managing follow-through, policies, procedures, rules, rates, completion dates, and ensuring compliance of electrical designs. * Occasionally lifting things. Typically less than 40 lbs. * Working in various weather conditions. Possibly even in some remote regions—the coast, desert, mountains across California. * Maintaining a safety "own it" mindset where you choose to be safe for what and who you value. You absolutely need to have: * One or more years of experience, training, or education in any of the following fields: Drafting, Mapping, Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or Electrical. * Three or more years of customer service experience building relationships, identifying needs, and resolving issues. * One or more years of experience working and coordinating several projects/assignments concurrently, adjusting to shifting priorities, and meeting deadlines. * A valid U.S. Driver License. Really good to have: * A Bachelor's degree. * Familiarity with electrical utility industry practices and regulatory standards. * Excellent if you have experience with overhead electrical distribution and/or underground electric distribution systems. * Fluent with computer software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, SAP, the Internet or other applications. * Experience using graphs, solving math problems, and drawing/interpreting diagrams and maps. * Successful completion of Electrical Utility Planner Certification Program (from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona), AutoCAD, or similar programs.
