Horizon Solar Power is looking for a (PV) Solar Site Surveyor to join our Operations Team.

Solar Site Surveyor

The Site Surveyor is the customers first point of contact after the sale. The Site Surveyor will provide professional site survey services to gather the necessary readings and documents to design, permit, and install a solar system.

Qualifications

  • Solar experience is a must
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs and maneuver ladders
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions (example: summer heat, cold weather, homes attics)
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders
  • Organization skills necessary to keep multiple job documents in order
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient with smart phones
  • Must be able to follow standardized process
  • Experience with different units of measurements and the ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply them

Requirements

  • You must have your own truck and tools -Suneye is required
  • Be able to effectively communicate with customers during the initial appointment greeting
  • Conduct a physical site survey using company tools which include ladders, tape measures, hand tools, and protective equipment
  • Effectively document the site conditions with photos
  • Effectively complete site survey documents by hand which reflect the site conditions
  • Upload site visits to the company database and clean shade reports at the end of every day
  • Provide and maintain a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening

The Operations Manager directs the activity of staff, including the work of Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians. This role may also take on project management or high-level account management duties for larger customers. Responsibilities: * Plan, organize, direct, and control all fire and Security construction operations activities on projects to ensure profitable growth. Advise management on local operations planning including resource hiring, development and allocation, financial forecasting, monitoring, and issue resolution planning. * Manage revenue and gross margin to achieve monthly and annual business plans. Monitor project status and control job costs to maintain margins along with getting billings out in a timely manner on a monthly basis. * Direct and supervise the development of construction work to ensure customer commitments are met within the estimated cost. Oversee supervision of all construction efforts and personnel on assigned jobs. Ensure schedules are maintained and work proceeds in accordance with contractual requirements and customer expectations. Determine resource needs (e.g. staffing, tools) and provide any corresponding documentation. * Provide technical and operational support for the sales teams, including proper pricing and scope of work definition for project opportunities. Communicate regularly with customers through all phases of the construction work that we perform for them.
