Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, responsible for management of scheduling, supervision, training and the security client site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and assist in the develop all available tools provided in the MITC scheduling software.

  • Manage the scheduling of Security Officers and supervisors at client site; manage the scheduling process to optimize operating results, determine best resolution to staffing issues and problems. Ensure that all client accounts maintains non-billable overtime below the company established threshold.

  • Maintain current knowledge of site contracts and requirements, of Security Officer training, availability and time worked.

  • Manage and provide leadership for Site Supervisors and Security Officers in ensuring that they are maintaining client relationship, treating employees with care and following all company policies. Conduct weekly supervisor meetings and training needed.

  • Coordinate the daily schedules and assignments of supervisory staff; briefs supervisors on changes to post schedules and new Security Officer Schedules.

  • Recommend removal of Security Officers from post based on client complaints, attendance problems or other performance issues; advise management of any staffing problems that may arise.

  • Appraise the quality of our officers and service and initiate any necessary corrective action in a timely manner

  • Develop working relationships with your team. Personally foster relationships with all client contact and maintain consistent contact.

  • Determine compliance with all security performance and deliverables around the clock (with the assistance of your team)

  • Implement and enforce Clarion policies and procedures

  • Manage training supervisors in their implementation and tracking of officer training. Ensure that all training is conducted completely and efficiently.

  • Prepare and present necessary information, training, reports, reviews and audit results at scheduled meetings or as requested by Clarion management.

  • Work with Scheduling software.

  • Ensure that each Site Supervisor is adhering to policies and procedures in the completion of their job duties.

  • Ensure that all Supervisors are maintaining positive relationships with employees.

  • Complete objective, performance based, appraisals based on published Position Descriptions of subordinates.

  • Implement progressive corrective action for violations of policies and procedures as necessary, after consultation and direction for Human Resources. No employee will be suspended or discharged without consultation and input from the Human Resources department.

  • Review and approve all written reports of investigation generated by assigned personnel. Such review shall insure that the report accurately and concisely documents all incidents/accidents that occur on property owned, controlled or maintained by the client within 8 hours.

  • Work in coordination with Human Resources to continue efforts to recruit and deploy the highest quality work force.

  • Conduct site inspections for each account. Each site visit shall be documented and reported in the prescribed format in a timely fashion.

  • Participate in scheduled staff meetings and be prepared to brief on assigned account opportunities and challenges. Such briefings shall also include an In Progress Review for any special or temporary projects.

  • Be available at all times to receive calls from subordinates with site questions while the officers are on duty and to handle scheduling issues (sick employees) as needed outside normal work hours, making any and all necessary changes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate authority within the scope of the position.

  • Will not use illegal drugs or legal drugs that will impair judgement. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).

  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verification, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Working Conditions

  • Works indoors and/or outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Normal exposure to noise and disruptions with minimal to moderate levels of stress.

  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor dust and dirt.

  • Periodically work beyond normal work hours or may be on-call or as needed.

  • May be exposed to volatile or hostile members of the public.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED required. Higher education preferred.

  • State licensing training.

  • Annual Active Shooter Class

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND

  • Must successfully undergo a national background check If assigned to a driving post, must past a Motor Vehicle Background Check.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Must be able to hear, speak read and write in the English language in order to carry out essential functions of job.

  • Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess ability to function independently, have flexibility and the ability to work effectively with customers, co-workers and others.

  • Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality in regard to client information and records.

  • Must possess a valid state ID from the state in which the employee resides.

  • Must possess a valid Drivers License for the state in which the employee resides if assigned to a driving post with a clean driving record.

  • Must possess some knowledge of court procedures, warrants and arrest procedures and the ability to relate same to job duties as required.

  • Must be able to make observations necessary to reasonably determine if an individual is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • Must be able to navigate on a smart phone (such as a droid) utilizing pre-established applications.

  • Must be able to read office forms and small print.

  • Must be able to recognize a person previously known based on physical characteristics and facial features from a distance of 30 100 feet.
