The Site Account Executive position at Sungard AS is responsible for prospecting and closing sales to New Logos and for assisting with renewals of current customers local to Sungard AS Data Centers. This position's primary focus will be on business development to generate revenue for our Data Centers across North America. They will also actively sell Sungard AS' entire product offerings as directed and prioritized by their Regional Vice President. Working closely with the Data Center Operations team, this individual will develop and manage business relationships with new and existing customers through direct, face to face interaction at the Data Center and by telecommunication prospecting. The goal is to leverage the tools, resources, and support structure provided to meet and exceed new and renewal revenue sales quotas. This position provides an opportunity to act as a Sungard AS brand ambassador by selling leading edge solutions for one of the premier organizations in the IT industry. This position will be located in an assigned Sungard AS Data Center.
Grow Sungard AS revenue by assisting with closing customer renewals and by development of new logo wins.
Actively manage the building of a new business pipeline within the geographical territory in order to expand Sungard AS penetration and provide solutions-based sales and service offerings to customers.
Qualify, convert and develop leads provided by the Marketing Team for business in a specific region for current and new logos.
Proactively develop new customers through outbound prospecting as well as relationship building and with current customers.
Achieve or exceed sales quota; initiate and develop strong, new and existing customer relationships, identify new and follow up-on business opportunities through market opportunity research. Direct customer meetings and contacts and partnering with industry and business organizations.
Maximize assigned facility revenue by coordinating internal team members such as Global Operations and Solutions Engineering to design, present, and close compelling business solutions.
Work collaboratively with regional sales, customer service management, and operations teams and manage the communication and internal coordination of the Sungard AS sales support infrastructure to insure customer education and satisfaction.
Manage on-site tours of the Sungard AS Data Center to current and prospective customers.
Manage the on-going need to understand inter-related technologies that exist and keep current on new options as the business technologies expand and change.
At least five years of sales experience with a successful track record of quota achievement.
College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
Cloud Solution experience a plus.
Previous proven expertise in managed services, high availability solutions, consulting, and/or hardware/software solution sales.
Ability to learn Sungard AS technical products, services, and solutions and readily apply new knowledge.
An extraordinary drive to pursue opportunities both within the install base as well as targeted new customers, as well as to marshal the necessary resources within Sungard AS to ensure strong solution creation and implementation of the go to market sales strategy.
Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers.
Proven talent for making effective initial calls to target customers and the ability to develop relationships from a cold call or networking activity.
Demonstrated track record of success in selling technology products and/or services (i.e. Colocation, Managed Services, Workplace, Disaster Recovery, Cloud, Security Solutions).
Excellent ability to communicate at all levels within an organization.
