Job Summary

The SIS Data Analyst plays a multifaceted role in offering technical support for the planning, development, training, testing, operations, and upkeep of the ROP AERIES SIS application. A significant portion of this position requires proficiency in the AERIES query language to manage the import and export of student enrollment information and to compile this data into dashboard reports.

Additionally, the analyst is responsible for assessing, analyzing, and suggesting new data management strategies to staff and management at different organizational levels. They also assist in operational tasks and carry out additional duties as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required Experience: OPTION 1: * Associate of Arts in Technology, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in an information services and technology support-related field or equivalent work at K-12 schools, specifically working with Aeries SIS or similar student information system OPTION 2: * Completion of high school or the equivalent and five (5) years of any combination of experience, including at least three (3) years of student information systems experience, or in a field directly related to the position requirements * A Bachelor's degree is desirable * AERIES industry certifications or equivalent training is highly desirable

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel, or operate computers and standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms from the waist to at or above shoulder level; bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp, squat, kneel, and twist to open file cabinet drawers, and lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds from ground, waist, and chest level; travel over uneven terrain that may include gravel, dirt, or stairs.

Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Mental Demands While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine and difficult office administrative problems; observe and interpret people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interact with administrators, staff, teachers, partner district personnel, governmental agencies, and others encountered in the course of work. The selected candidate must be able to occasionally work evenings and weekends with advance notice.
