As a Thermal Cabin Comfort Modeling intern, you will work in the general area of thermal cabin comfort. You will develop automated solutions for the prediction of digital cabin temperature, as well as passenger thermal comfort.
These solutions will also enable the predictions of the impact of the Cabin subsystem on other vehicle subsystems, leading to real world fuel economy/battery range predictions. You will also support the generation of the go-to-market material for these solutions, as well as training material.
Your work will include, but will be not limited to flow and thermal applications. You will work within the Transportation & Mobility/Industrial Equipment group responsible for the development and deployment of all simulations solutions for the digital Cabin Comfort Industry Process Experience.
This is a 6-month, full time, 40 hours per week paid internship, starting in July - December 2019. This internship is based at the Dassault Systemes Simulia Corp office located at 38777 Six Mile Road, Suite 210, Livonia, MI, USA 48152, 210 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI.

What will Your Role Be?
Implement simulation models with PowerFLOW Suite and other Dassault Systemes/SIMULIA tools to solve major automotive industry challenges with top experts in the field
Automate through scripting and workflows cabin simulation processes
Demonstrate the value of the solutions through generation of technical marketing material
Support implementation of these models on customer projects globally
Support testing and validation on real world problems of newly developed R&D capabilities
Your Key Success Factors
Enrolled in MS/PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, CFD, Acoustics or related discipline. Recent MS graduates will be considered.
Maintain a minimum GPA 3.0
Demonstrate understanding of flow and thermal physics, and applications to real industry problems such as Thermal Systems, Interior Systems, Fans, Powertrain, Embedded Systems & Car Infotainment
Demonstrate good understanding of systems tools and related applications is desired
Possess good script programming abilities (object-oriented understanding preferred) are desired
Strong desire for continuous learning.
Possesses strong communication skills in English, written/oral
