As a Field Service Technician II, you will be using your skills and expertise to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You'll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field related equipment. You'll build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training.

Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

  • Experience using troubleshooting techniques

  • Understanding of electrical wiring concepts

  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required

  • Ability to setup, configure, repair, move/add/change and integration of new and existing computing hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies and peripherals

  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance for a variety of computer related equipment.

  • Ability to provide outstanding customer-centered quality support and service ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction

  • Knowledge of current IT technical standards as related to computers, network technology, and networking equipment.

  • Experience in Windows.

  • Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.

  • The technician must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal, for report preparation and customer interface

  • Technician must be able to perform assigned tasks related to this level of expertise with minimal supervision

  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+

  • Experience in Aviation Avionics and Electronics is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and electrical test equipment
