Simulation Technician

The Simulation Technician ensures the execution of appropriate equipment maintenance and inventory. Supports daily operations of the Simulation Laboratory. Troubleshoots malfunctions in low/high-fidelity simulation and training equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures that simulation equipment is in working order and that routine maintenance is performed according to recommended schedules.

• Orders, stocks and organizes laboratory supplies.

• Ensures that appropriate vendor relationships are maintained in accordance with Inova Health System policies.

• Acts as the primary point of contact to faculty during simulation sessions.

• Serves as a simulation operator by programming, testing and running scenarios with faculty.

• Obtains, prepares, cleans and replaces all equipment and supplies necessary for each simulation event.

• Operates basic and networked audio/visual equipment to record and playback scenarios for debriefing, documentation and research purposes.

• May perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Schedule

• M-F 40 Hours a week, occasional weekends and evenings as needed

• Experience

• 2 Years of experience in a relevant clinical environment in simulation
