Simulation Patient Scheduler

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Manager of Simulation for the College of Human Medicine, the Standardized Patient (SP) Scheduler compiles events, processes requirements, and schedules standardized patients for all Simulation activities and events held at the Secchia Simulation Center in Grand Rapids. The position collaborates with all Simulation staff, specifically the SP Educators, to create a seamless recruitment/training process for the SPs. The position works to track and maintain Health Record student assignments through Learning Space and could be called upon for inventory requirements, event setup/tear down, and other duties as assigned.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge normally acquired through the first two to three years of college, such as an Associate's degree in Healthcare, Education, or a related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a health care setting, working in staff scheduling, recruitment, training, evaluation of programming and staff; knowledge and/or experience in healthcare simulation; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Desired experience working with Learning Space software; experience collaborating with multiple units to determine scheduling needs; simulation knowledge and/or experience; standardized patient knowledge and/or experience. Bachelors degree in healthcare and/or similar field; may be substituted by 3-4 years direct work experience in working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in scheduling and scheduling software. Ability to work with discretion in sensitive and/or confidential information.

VIEW JOBS 3/27/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-25T00:00 Position Summary The Data Integrity Assistant II position involves being responsible for assisting with data management for all data collected in an ongoing longitudinal study of the effects of the timing of prenatal stress on childhood regulatory functioning and early markers of psychopathology. There are multiple waves of in-person data collection, as well as multiple online assessments that are completed at regular intervals. This position will be responsible for data organization such that it is regularly prepared for PIs and other investigators (e.g. postdocs and graduate students) to use for data analysis for papers and presentations. Specifically, this will involve coordination, downloading, cleaning, merging, and writing syntax for scales for survey data, and cleaning and merging biological data reports, and managing coding datasets for observational data. This position will also involve supervising undergraduate research assistants assigned to this team.
