Serves as lead between Simulation Education Center and curriculum developers using Simulated Patient (SP) simulation methodology in courses or relevant projects. Works collaboratively with Simulation Specialists in supporting mixed-modality and hybrid simulation events and courses. Participates in development of communication-focused courses/exercises provided through Simulation Education Center. Maintains and oversees pool of contract labor SPs, providing appropriate onboarding/training as needed. Provides ongoing updates to Program Director as requested or needed.

Description
1.Works closely with simulation center staff to identify course needs, objectives and parameters of simulated patient work to meet education/training goals.
2.Assists with dry-runs of courses and cases involving simulated patients ensuring standards of simulation methodology and quality are met for projects/courses run through the simulation center.
3.Recruits SPs as needed for individual cases and courses.
4.Facilitates training of SPs to give feedback as needed, based on individual course requirements.
5.Monitors SP portrayals for standardization as appropriated and for quality assurance of simulation education methodology.
6.Coordinates schedules for SP trainings and projects/courses utilizing SPs with simulation center staff as appropriate.
7.Collaborates with Administrative Assistant to maintain a record of all SP projects and patient cases, completes and submits SP contracts, and completes payroll forms in a timely fashion.
8.Supports SP-related projects involving Process Improvement, Quality & Safety work, or academic research.
9.Complete course and facilitator evaluations as needed on behalf of simulation center staff.
Provides training in facilitation, debriefing, feedback and communication skills as needed for course directors and facilitators.
Acts as liaison with departments, Foundation, and external clients for SP related simulations and projects.
Engage in quality improvement of simulation program
Performs other duties as assigned.
