ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with both the undergraduate and graduate simulation team.
Work with the Liberty University SON Simulation Center Leadership team, faculty within the SON, and faculty from various other majors/disciplines to assist in the development, planning, implementation, and coordinating of IPE simulation activities.
Engage professionally with faculty, staff, and students from different majors/disciplines internal and external to Liberty University to facilitate the scheduling of IPE simulation activities.
Monitor the IPE activities to ensure that all follow the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Simulation-Enhanced-IPE Standard of Best Practice and the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) Core Competencies.
Identify appropriate SPs for events based on case information.
Coordinate the scheduling of SPs to include sending availability requests, confirmation, and training sessions.
Work with the SON Simulation Center Leadership team and faculty to develop and deliver training materials based on the simulation-based event (SBE).
Work with a member of the simulation team to provide SP performance feedback based on student and faculty evaluation methods.
Monitor the SP activities to ensure that all follow the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and the Association of SP Educator's (ASPE) Standards of Best Practice.
Work effectively as a team member, embracing, and fostering LU's mission.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Experience working in healthcare.
Two years' experience working with post-secondary students, preferably in an academic environment.
Strong organizational skills, teaching ability, creativity, competence in negotiation, excellent computer proficiency, excellent personal communication skills, and the professionalism and grace to serve.

Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature

Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. (If not administrative duties, such as labor, define general physical abilities.
Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
Regularly lift 40 or fewer pounds.
