Signals Intelligence Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Support a US Air Force unit in prioritizing and assessing information obtained from AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) weapon system and national collection efforts. Analyze and draft intelligence reports to satisfy intelligence requirements. Provide traffic analysis and advanced analysis in response to specific threats and incident reports based on emerging threats for predictive and reactive situations, as needed. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) in assigned mission sets and analytic processes and applications to enable SIGINT collection, processing, production, and dissemination of timely intelligence data. Work in a fast-paced and highly flexible client and team environment. Interact with clients and senior staff members from various organizations, including the firm and government agencies. This position is located in Fort Meade, MD.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with performing SIGINT analysis or reporting

  • Experience with the analysis and identification of reportable indicators based on national and theater-level requirements

  • Knowledge of SIGINT analysis tools, programs, policies, and doctrines

  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications, as required

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with signals intelligence platform capabilities and employment

  • Experience with conducting SIGINT geospatial analysis

  • Completion of the National Cryptologic School Course RPTG3225

  • DCGS Technical Reporter or Product Reporter Qualification or IC Certified Report Releaser

The analyst's work will inform a range of tactical and strategic decisions and should equip audiences with actionable assessments. Responsibilities: * Develop, and implement process for establishing Intelligence Requirements * Maintain current knowledge of tools and best-practices in advanced persistent threats; tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of attacker's motivations, industry and attacker trends * Identify and hunt for related TTPs across all internal/external intelligence repositories * Correlate collected intelligence, to build upon a larger knowledge base of tracked threat activity * Present tactical and strategic intelligence about threat groups, the methodologies they use and the motivations behind their activity * Write finished intelligence at the technical and strategic levels * Convey both verbally and in writing the importance of findings for a variety of audiences * Prepare and deliver briefings and reports to the client's executives, security team or fellow analysts * Ability to work with little direct oversight Requirements: * 2 + years of experience in an analytical role of either network forensics analyst, Threat Analyst or security engineer/ consultant * 2 + years of experience in Investigative or Incident Response environments * Exceptional written communication skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of internal audiences including senior executives * Proven track record of successfully managing and executing on short term and long-term projects * Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner * Ability to set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members * Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships * TS/SCI clearance required * Expertise in analysis of TCP/IP network communication protocols * Experience with Python or other scripting language in an incident handling environment * Experience in evaluating forensic reports of electronic media, packet capture, log data, and network devices in support of intrusion analysis or enterprise level information security operations * Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including: Windows, Linux, Network architecture / implementation / configuration * Experience conducting analysis of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic, Firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS) Additional Qualifications: * System administration experience with enterprise email systems, highly desired * Master's or other professional degree preferred * Malware/security experience and experience with FireEye products, highly desired All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or on the basis of disability. #LI-AO1 Fireeye Fort Meade MD
