Responsibilities

Radiant Solutions is looking for Radar Engineers-Signal & Image Processing (all levels) for our Ann Arbor, MI area location. We tackle real-world challenges with new SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) systems cutting-edge technology. This is a great opportunity to advance or apply your expertise in the radar field!

  • Develop efficient algorithms and models for signal and digital image processing.

  • Algorithm analysis, requirement verification, documentation, prototyping, and testing of various SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) applications and modes.

  • Analyze, design, develop and test systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.

  • Author, design and maintain toolsets to generate, manipulate and test system data. .

Qualifications

  • BS, MS, PhD major in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or other related technology fields.

  • Strong programming skills (C++, C, MATLAB, python, similar), operational processing definition, system development, integration and optimization.

  • Signal and image processing, analysis and algorithm development. Experience with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) geometry a plus.

  • Integration and verification of technology, operational image processing, exploitation, visualization tools, product standards and definition.

  • 3-10+ years of relevant/applicable experience

  • TS/SCI clearance.

Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary, collaborative teams and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art remote sensing solutions and surveillance technologies. Relevant sensor types include active/passive radar and electro-optic/infrared imaging systems. Projects will include the development of advanced sensor concepts to exploit new and unique phenomenology, and the associated design and validation activities. Primary responsibilities include: * Development of algorithms for processing exploitation of conventional and advanced concept sensor data in geospatial contexts. * Software implementation of algorithms may support modeling and simulation activities and engineering analysis of data. * Complex signal and image processing algorithms may be interpreted and translated into designs suitable for real-time software implementation. * Software development methodologies may be applied to create high-performance, reliable and fault-tolerant software in support of project objectives. * Implementations could reside on multi-core, multi-purpose processing architectures, embedded processors, FPGAs, GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) or other emerging capabilities. Additional tasks include defining software and system interfaces, system integration and testing, and field support to experiments and demonstrations. Anticipated work products include written reports and preparation and delivery of presentations and project proposals. Occasional travel associated with meetings and/or data collections may be required. Qualifications * Must be enrolled in an accredited university pursuing Bachelors or Master's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field * Experience associated with radar, imaging sensors, image processing, and signal/data processing applications is highly desirable * Experience with software development in C and/or C++ and algorithm implementations in MATLAB is highly desired. * Experience with Unix/Linux operating system and multi-threaded/parallel computing is of additional benefit * Successful candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills including presentations of technical material SRI International Ann Arbor MI
