Responsibilities:

As a Signal Processing Engineer with MTSI, you will design and implement Radio Frequency (RF) communication systems and leading team of engineers and developers to support quick reaction capabilities in Colorado Springs, CO.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Lead a development team and work alongside Project Lead (PL) on project schedule, risks and testing.

  • Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment.

  • Maintain systems and documentation as needed for development and ongoing operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in signal processing development.

  • Have strong programming skills (e.g., python, C/C++, bash).

  • Experience in developing in a Linux environment.

  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing.

  • Experience with Software Defined Radios.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment and incorporate them into coherent test strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic work environment.

  • Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations internally and with leadership.

Desired Experience:

  • Strong desire to keep technical skills current and remain abreast of emerging technologies, new versions of existing solutions.

  • Familiarity with various SATCOM systems & RF signals.

  • Knowledge of IP network transport & protocols.

  • Software development experience with GPU architectures and CUDA.

  • Experience remotely troubleshooting issues.

  • Deep understanding in the theory and implementation of SATCOM protocols, systems, and standards.

  • Able to read, write, and interpret complex documents.

  • Skilled working with Docker containers.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems to include coding, testing, debugging, installing, and documenting.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related science / engineering.

  • Five (5) years' experience in signal processing development.

Desired Education Requirement:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related science / engineering.
  • 10 years' experience in signal processing development.

Travel Requirements:

  • This position will require overnight travel up to 10 percent of the time.

  • Trip durations may range from overnight to several weeks.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $135,000/year to $165,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
