Guest Services Shuttle Driver

Position Purpose/ Summary

Maintain and Exceed guest satisfaction at the resort by providing guests transportation to, Lionshead, and West Vail areas. Must be friendly and engaging with guests and owners. Provide a safe shuttle experience for Eagle Point guests.

Essential Duties and

1.Start shuttle/van and clean off any frost or snow on the vehicle.

Responsibilities

2.Shovel and salt entry ways to the shuttle and shuttle pick-up area.

3.Help Maintain Eagle Point parking lot and walk ways. Include and laying rock cinders.

4.Pick up shuttle schedule and grooming report form the Front Desk and place in the shuttle/van.

5.Assist guests with their skis by loading them on and off the ski rack.

6.Provide guests with any information that may be helpful- weather, restaurants, and ski shops.

7.Maintain Eagle Point shuttle schedule with precision. On-time for all departures from Eagle Point and pick-ups from Lionshead, and Grocery Stores. Driver will be notified of schedule times or changes by supervisor.)

8.The shuttle schedule will consist of departures in the morning and midday and pick-ups in the afternoon, with grocery runs during the week and weekend.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

1.Flexible hours and days of work. Working a split shift during scheduled days of work. Consult supervisor for exact employee schedule.

2.Working knowledge of the Vail area (Information, Restaurants, Shops, etc).

3.Other duties as assigned.

Job Description Oversees Guest Services Operation of a full service hotel property Including, Valet Parking, Bell Service, Shuttle Service, luggage storage and associate parking. Manages over 25 full time/year round associates including the Assistant Guest Services Manager, Doorman, Bellman, Valet, Overnight Attendant, Cashier, as well as 10 -15 part time valet associates. Responsible for human resources functions to include interviewing/hiring, training, payroll, scheduling, performance management/evaluation, and other administrative duties. Requires a high level understanding of department financials and fiscal responsibilities to include: building the yearly department budget; managing monthly expenses and inventory; and forecasting revenue and variances accurately. Leverages strong oral communications skills to communicate with other department leaders to ensure alignment of guest and hotel needs and to resolve conflicts. Resolves guest issues effectively, diplomatically and in a timely manner. Develops and implements new department standards to elevate guest service expectations. Places an emphasis on outstanding customer service, high quality support and teamwork. Responsible for ordering Operating Supplies and Uniforms, maintaining appropriate inventory, and evaluating cost management. Analyze hotel business needs based on rooms forecast, type of business and seasonality, in order to schedule appropriately to meet service standards and efficiency. Daily Responsibilities: Display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures and skill development. Good understanding about the Property management software (PMS). Anticipates and intervenes in all incidents of guest dissatisfaction and attempts to satisfy all such guests, within hotel policy. Maintains detailed knowledge about the hotel's services and hours of operations. Managing staffing levels as daily business levels require. Assists the department in daily operations as needed with hands on work including delivering luggage and retrieving vehicles. Completes and submits incident reports for Associate and Guest vehicle damage or loss to Loss Prevention. Maintains strong relationship with Loss Prevention. Delegate and follows up on tasks needed to me completed by Associates maintaining state and company compliance Responsible for fleet management of hotel Shuttles, as well as Partner vehicle programming.
