Union Shuttle Driver

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM

(Hours will fluctuate dictated by business needs and must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when necessary)

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the movement and delivery of merchandise and products between our Hampstead distribution locations in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.

Operational Duties

• Ensure timely deliveries between the DC's and the various departments.

• Unload, process and reload merchandise and freight

• Pack and ship merchandise as required

Safety

• Perform driving function within the parameters set forth by the Transportation Safety Department

• Ensure that work areas are clean.

• Report all injuries to up-line management on a timely basis.

Transportation Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years driving work-related experience preferred (job training will be provided)

• Valid driver's license (Class A or Class B CDL is preferred but not required)

• Able to pass a Company road test

• Able to pass a DOT physical, including drug screening.

• Good driving record: No more than 2 moving violations in past 24 months or 3 moving violations in past 36 months

• No DUI's, DWI, or license suspension in last 10 years

• No more than 1 preventable (DOT recordable) accident in past 12 months

• Ability to work in all areas of the HUB's distribution center and perform any necessary job duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit and remain alert while driving for a period of at least 10 hours

• Drive 26 ft. automatic transmission box trucks with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW

• Squat or crouch to handle or position freight

• Enter and exit vehicle cab minimum of 8-10 times per day. Entry and exit will be achieved with the assistance of various steps, footholds, and handholds. This requires additional bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, crouching, and balancing

• Push and/or pull 500 or more pounds on a dolly cart or manual pallet jack

• Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds without the aid of mechanical equipment at a minimal distance of 12 feet

• Frequently reach for freight at waist level, above the shoulder, or below the waist, with required movement to left or right

• Must work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• All staff employees are expected to be available to work in all areas of production as required
