The Briarcliff Manor SD is seeking an eager and highly qualified Elementary School Teacher to oversee a successful end of the school year for one of our Grade 4 classes.
Position: Leave Replacement Elementary Teacher (Grade 4)
Appointment: Short Term Substitute Teacher
Full Time: 1.0
Location: Todd Elementary School, Grades K-5
Approximate Effective Date: September 2, 2024 - October 2, 2024
Minimum Certification Required: New York State Childhood Education 1-6
Salary: $125 per day
Ideal Qualifications of a Candidate:
Committed to creating a student-centered, technology-infused learning experience
Ability to work productively and collaboratively with the faculty, students, and parents
Willingness to engage students in project/problem-based learning activities using technology to enhance instruction
Knowledge and understanding of pedagogical skills/strategies and NYS Next Generation Learning Standards
Ability to promote digital literacy, critical thinking, problem solving, and responsible decision-making skills that are necessary for student succes
Experience with incorporating social-emotional learning practices into classroom instruction
Experience teaching in elementary level classrooms
Exudes a joy of learning and an ability to work with students of all skill and ability levels
