AdventHealth Orlando seeks to hire a Short Order/Grill Cook who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdvetnHealth Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. AdvetnHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year.

Work Hours/Shifts:

M-F, Every other weekend; 5:00am 5:00pm

Job Summary:

Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Responsible for preparing all food and related items needed for customers and patients on various pieces of equipment that include but are not limited to pizza ovens, woks, flat and open-flame grills. Ensures that all cold and hot food products are ordered, stored, produced and served according to recipe specifications and proper procedures. Demonstrates cost conscience behaviors while providing world class customer service and quality. Must be team and service oriented; display a supportive and positive attitude towards a diverse group of customers. Responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment that complies with all FH and department Policy & Procedures that include state and in-house Sanitation and Safety Standards.

Work Hours/Shifts: Monday – Friday with some weekends and holidays * $5,000 Sign-on Bonus and Relocation of $1,500 available for eligible candidates (see terms below) Job Summary: Registered Dietitian Specialist (RD III) provides advanced medical nutrition therapy including nutrition education, nutrition counseling, enteral/parenteral nutrition intervention, and condition-specific nutrition care on patients/clients using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Standards of Practice in Nutrition Care and Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitians in specialized populations (pediatrics, nutrition support, renal, oncology/transplant, bariatrics, gerontology). The RD III utilizes relevant data to assess patients/clients for nutrition-related problems, identify and label specific treatable nutrition problems/diagnoses, implement appropriate nutrition interventions to correct nutrition-related behaviors/risk factors, and monitor and evaluate outcomes related to nutrition diagnosis, goals and interventions for patients/clients. The RD III exhibits quality in practice, competence and accountability for ensuring patient safety, and provides safe and quality- based services while meeting the mission and vision of the organization while meeting all regulatory requirements. The RD III gathers current clinical research, presents to leadership and facilitates approved practice change with minimal supervision. Applies dietetic knowledge including at organizational committees, patient rounds and through effective precepting of students, interns, and staff. The RD III utilizes resources effectively and efficiently, designs and implements quality improvement programs, supports institutional accreditation and provides regulatory compliance initiatives.
