We are now seeking a Shop Technician to join our Broussard, LA team.

Summary

The Shop Technician will be responsible for tracking the inventory of parts and the maintenance and calibration of equipment. This person will be required to operate a forklift and crane. Eagerness to learn, ability to work overtime, and strong attention to detail are must-have qualities for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Track inventory of parts, o-rings, teflons, and other related supplies.

  • Identify and note any defects in equipment and tools returned to the shop.

  • Keep equipment in good working order through cleaning and calibration.

  • Loading and unloading equipment.

  • Forklift and crane operation

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is required.

  • Forklift operation certification is required.

  • Experience working with safety valves is preferred.

  • Ability to work in a labor intensive function for day shift plus be on-call two weeks a month.

Education

  • High School diploma is required.

Mechanic-DOT Inspection Certification-49 CFR 396.19 INSPECTOR OUALIFICATON/ 49 CFR 396.25 BRAKE QUALIFICATION INSPECTION GUIDELINES experience preferred. Welder- Certifications- STRUCTURAL (AWSD 1.1)/MIG AND TIG/PIPE preferred. Previous experience operating powered industrial trucks/forklifts preferred. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to perform heavy physical labor, work many hours out in the elements during rain, snow, wind, extreme heat and cold. Essential Functions of the Job: * Perform quality maintenance, diagnostics, disassembles, inspections, rebuilds, and reassembles of all components or equipment (i.e. engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generations, electrical codes, etc.) either in a shop or on location with or without supervisor. * Maintain failure reports and analysis on equipment that is deemed inadequate * Know and understand Warrior Energy Safety Policies and comply with all requirements, operating procedures, and work place instructions * Job tasks must be carried out to the highest quality level * Correct obvious hazards and unsafe conditions and able to report those that cannot be immediately corrected to the district manager * Perform functional test on motor units * Test motor units per customer and/or division criteria * Operate test equipment in compliance with manufacturer's standards * Clean and lubricate parts on equipment * Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excess wear * Evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction * Resolve welding and fabrication issues on equipment and provides specification interpretation * Ensure all corrections made to weld defects and sufficiently correct the defect * Prepare maintenance reports on all equipment * Superior Energy Broussard LA
