About the role:

The Shop Technician I primarily works in the shop making repairs to equipment as required. The Shop Technician I is a skilled, experienced technician with the ability to perform most tasks independently, while seeking guidance or training for more critical tasks.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings

• Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of shop, work area and equipment

• Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician. Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change

• Troubleshoot, repair, reassembly and testing based on customer communications

• Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs.

• Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy

• Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times

• Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting

• Available on 24-hour call to respond to customer needs on special occurrences

• Perform occasional required work in the field

• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

One to three months of related work experience or training

Additional Information:

• Hourly rate starting at $20/hour with overtime as available

• Schedule: 7AM - 5 PM, Monday

• Friday
