Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

To provide timely, quality, and cost effective maintenance for vehicle fleet including tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment that requires preventive maintenance, repairs and documentation to ensure a safe and efficient fleet of vehicles.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:
1.Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment (which may include the use of diagnostic equipment)
2.Works with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs
3.Prepares records and reports both in writing and electronically
4.Performs safety inspections of equipment and documents the work
5.Moves parts to and from the job site and removes or installs these parts on vehicle
6.Performs paint and body work on vehicles, as required
7.Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
8.Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or GED)

  • Must have one (1) year experience performing vehicle maintenance or either possess, or be within sixty (60) days of obtaining, a heavy duty vehicle maintenance certificate from an accredited vehicle maintenance vocational/trade school

  • Medium/Heavy Truck Master ASE Certification preferred

  • Class A CDL preferred

  • Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks

  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on work assignment

  • Knowledge of the use and operation of power, trailing and testing equipment, gauges and tools normally associated with troubleshooting and repair of industrial hydraulic, electrical, and diesel equipment

  • Basic computer skills including email, maintenance programs, and diagnostic systems

  • Basic knowledge of late model gas and diesel engines and on-board computers

  • Experience using oxygen/acetylene equipment (cutting, heating, bending, welding, fabricating equipment during repair) preferred

  • Experience using lifting devices (bottle, floor, wheel, or transmission jacks, floor cranes etc.)

  • Experience using precision measurement instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, electronic multimeters/testers, A/C charging station etc.) preferred

  • Able to frequently lift components weighing approximately 110 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person

  • Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission

  • Ability to enter and exit driver's compartment of truck and/or behind cab using normally available foot and handholds

  • If paint and body work duties required, experience required

  • If forklift repair duties required, prior forklift repair experience required

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete required training

  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job

  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise

  • May be required to drive service van to off-site locations and perform work

  • Exposure to climate conditions of the geographic area

  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, paints or other irritants

The Pursuit/Proposal Specialist will support ongoing sales, pursuit and proposal activities, as well as support the development and implementation of client and pursuit plans and strategy for the Infrastructure Business Line in California. As a key part of the Winning Pursuit Team, the Pursuit/Proposal Specialist works with client teams to drive and coordinate ongoing sales, capture planning, strategy, and pursuit/proposal activities for the region. Pursuit/Proposal Specialist works with client teams to develop capture strategies, interfacing with clients and Arcadis teams, assisting with research efforts, participating on pursuit teams and leading proposals in response to RFPs. They are partnered with Pursuit Leaders and regional leadership responsible for client planning, opportunity tracking, capture planning/strategy development and implementation, and pursuit win strategy development for targeted client opportunities. They are in regular communication with pursuit teams to manage client team follow-through and implementation of action plans developed in the capture planning/strategy development to ensure the team is focused and engaged in all feasible opportunities that will increase win probability for specific client opportunities in advance of the RFP. It is imperative that the Pursuit/Proposal Specialist quickly develops a comprehensive understanding and knowledge associated with assigned clients, (i.e., projects, competitors and opportunities). Pursuit/Proposal Specialist must take a leadership role to guide pursuit teams through the positioning, proposal management and interview stages, bringing an understanding of the Architecture/Engineering/Consulting (A/E/C) industry to play a key role on capture teams to support pursuit strategies, from the client planning stage up to contract award. This is a dynamic position that requires strategic thinking, flexibility, planned and proactive approaches, and the ability to shift priorities frequently while maintaining attention to detail and achieving high quality standards. Pursuit/Proposal Specialist must be able to prioritize, multi-task, function effectively under multiple deadlines and time constraints, schedule workload and manage time efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while demonstrating an energetic "can do" attitude. Pursuit and capture planning / strategy development and implementation: * Participates in client planning with pursuit leaders and operations partners * Collaborates with Operations and Client Development teams to position Arcadis for new projects by leading, creating and assisting with implementation of comprehensive capture plans * Develops and communicates effective win strategies and creates storyboards * Develops and tracks action items and schedules to keep the pursuit plan moving forward * Leads and conducts market research, competitive analyses, etc. on leads, opportunities, clients, projects and competitors Proposal / Interview Phase: * Takes on a leadership role in the proposal and interview stages of the pursuit process; primarily responsible for addressing client needs and implementing messaging aligned with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase * Serves as Proposal Manager from initial plan of the opportunity and kick-off meeting through development, quality assurance process, production and delivery of the finished product for select pursuits, while complying with all RFP requirements * Interviews technical staff to tailor and/or write resumes, project descriptions and other proposal information * Organizes, manages, conducts or participates in Pink, Red team, and other reviews * Engages in the interview process to meet all client needs and align proposal themes and messaging with the knowledge collected throughout the positioning phase * Attends interview preparation and practice sessions;
