As a Shop Supervisor you will perform supervisor duties for a Truck Care Center which is an "on-highway" location providing light mechanical service and tire service to the Commercial Trucking industry. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to ensure long term growth in sales and profits.

  • Delivering quality work every time.

  • Communicating with internal and external customers.

  • Should facilitate communications throughout the center while working closely with the General Manager.

  • The Shop Supervisor is expected to assist in technical areas as needed.

  • Working to ensure center profitability.

  • Ensuring inventory is secured, stored and only accessible to the associates in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Assisting with training, coaching and development of associates.

  • Setting schedules so the center location is properly staffed with qualified personnel.

  • Coordinating daily work duties by communicating specific work assignments and responsibilities to associates and holding them accountable.

  • Working with and training staff in add-on sales and tire selling skills.

  • Ensuring an atmosphere of professionalism exists at all times.

  • Complying with all safety policies and practices.

  • Implementing programs and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.

  • Ensuring service bays, part, and tire areas are clean, well maintained, and organized.

  • All other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Vocational School a plus

  • At least one year of relevant experience in diagnostic, problem solving, and repair work (Service and/or management experience is preferred).

  • Good computer skills.

  • Good oral and written communication ability.

  • Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.

  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.

  • Must be willing to work scheduled shifts including nights and weekends.

  • Must have a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements, including be at least 21 years of age.

VIEW JOBS 11/29/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-27T00:00 Job Overview / Performance Planning The Social Work Supervisor provides leadership to and direct oversight of the Social Work profession to ensure successful execution and provision of all Social Work services and functions related to the daily operation of the Care Coordination Department. The Social Work Supervisor functions as the Organization's expert in evaluating, managing, and resolving complex psychosocial matters of patients and families. The Social Work Supervisor collaborates with other members of the health care team to identify appropriate utilization of social and community resources to ensure a safe transition in the continuum of care. Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions * Serves as team leader for the day-to-day operations for the Social Workers to ensure effective patient care and utilization of services across the acute care hospital settings at DCH Regional, Northport, and Fayette campuses. * Will complete management duties for Social Work staff including; performance, evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc. * Monitors Social Workers workflow and documentation in support of transition/discharge planning, psychosocial support to patients and families, and compliance based requirements. * Provides direct and strategic supervision and guidance to Social Workers in collaboration with the Care Management leadership team. * Establishes, manages, approves, and constantly evaluates staffing levels and daily assignment distribution of Social Workers. * Assists with interviewing and selecting new social work hires. * Develops and facilitates a specialized process for orientation, staff development, competency validation, and patient education for all Social Workers. * Seeks opportunities to enhance and maintain knowledge of growth and development of the Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations through educational opportunities for the Social Workers. * Fosters communication with and among Social Workers by holding regular monthly one-on-one and team meetings in collaboration with Manager of Care Management. * Attends daily and weekly multidisciplinary length of stay meetings. * Carry a small workload and frequently walk the unit to assist staff to remove barriers proactively. * Informs and educates Social Workers of any changes involving Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners policies. * Provides Social Work supervision to Bachelors level Social Workers in accordance with the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners. * Acts as the UA School of Social Work Field Instructor by providing on-site orientation, supervision, advisement, and instruction to BSW or MSW students. * Serves as a liaison between existing dedicated community resources and government agencies to promote shared learnings and best practices. * Collaborates with leadership in developing department standards, policies, procedures, protocols, processes, and forms. * Identifies potentially avoidable days per department policy in collaboration with team. * Participates in activities of professional associations as appropriate. * Creates and supports structures and processes to reduce readmissions. * Serves in on-call work rotations. DCH Standards * Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation. * Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook * Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self. * Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet. * Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures. * All other duties as assigned. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required * Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. * Licensed in Alabama as a Licensed Master's in Social Work (LMSW). * Two years post-graduate practice in an acute hospital setting (including Neonatal, Pediatric, and Emergency Department). * Demonstrated ability to direct, supervise, manage, instruct, and collaborate with patient care and social service clinicians from a variety of disciplines. * Familiarity with health care and social work needs of the local and surrounding communities. * Ability to exercise independent judgment. * Demonstrates creativity in use of community based insurance and financial resources to meet specific patient needs. * Ability to relate to patients, families, co-workers, the multi-disciplinary team, and community agencies in a professional and sensitive manner. * Ability to problem-solve in a proactive, creative manner, using sound judgment based on factual information and clinical knowledge. * Ability to effectively negotiate with internal and external providers of patient care services. * Proficient in computer skills to support documentation of patient care as well as case finding. * Requires working knowledge and experience with data preparation, analysis, and data reporting. * Ability to work independently. * Excellent interpersonal skills and communication style. * Communicates in a clear, concise, and logical manner in both oral and written form.
