The Shop Floor Scheduler manages the execution of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) in the value streams. This includes the management of visual systems to communicate / monitor the sequence of production orders and ensuring the availability of resources (tooling, raw material, etc.); The Shop Floor Scheduler also creates and maintains sequenced production according to the MPS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sequence work orders in line with MPS for specified products and production lines understanding all the physical and manning constraints of these lines.

  • Monitor manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule, challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard.

  • Monitor Stock cover daily in order to avoid stock-outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the execution sequence if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler.

  • Maximize shared manufacturing resource output/utilization while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates,

  • Ensure the sequenced plan is feasible and balanced.

  • Monitor availability of raw material / components and escalate as required to Procurement / Master Scheduler.

  • Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler / value stream management potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure.

  • Weekly track, challenge and report to Management team Schedule Adherence with reasons for deviation,

  • Ensure tracking and updating of actual run-rates, batch quantities and changeover-times data.

  • Review and maintain ERP accuracy on orders - materials posting, confirmations, and completion dates accurate.

  • Ensure meeting customer deliveries on time.

  • Support customer meetings and report as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline OR high school diploma with 2+ years of experience using MRP/ERP Systems required.

  • Must be a US Citizen due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Complex manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.

  • MS Excel experience preferred.

  • Previous experience preferred in one or more of the following: daily scheduling & execution for forecasting & demand planning, SIOP / MPS / MRP, Master Data Management, inventory management, internal flow & warehousing preferred.

In most instances the Seasonal Asset Protection Security guard will stand at a customer and/or employee entrance/exit door(s) for long periods of time and/or walk through high shortage departments to deter theft and provide customer service. In order to present our customers with the best holiday shopping experience, many of our Seasonal associates arrive prior to store opening and remain after closing to ensure we are ready to make Macy's magic. Seasonal associates will have the opportunity to work a flexible schedule on a temporary basis, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and busy events such as the day after Thanksgiving and the day after Christmas.
