Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

The Opportunity:

Under moderate supervision, primarily responsible for documenting inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removal of items. Prepares inventory reports by collecting and analyzing information on stock usage. Maintains inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reports changes as needed.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 7:30am - 4:00pm

Hourly Rate: $21.50hr

What we're looking for

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required

• Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service, spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus, cross referencing and inside sales experience a plus, knowledge of scientific products and services a plus

• Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing

• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude

• High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures

• Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking

• Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of scientific products and services a plus

• Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

• Travel may be required

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Remove from the Avantor truck and accept deliveries at 52 Great Valley Parkway (B5)

• Accept products delivered at M20 site by the Avantor truck. Equipment is not part of this scope of work. All equipment deliveries are to contact the J&J facilities team for assistance.

• Accept delivery of Avantor consumables and chemicals received from Great Valley Parkway (GVP).

• Sample shipments out of M20.

• Receiving and delivery of media and buffers at M20.

• Notification of deliveries to researchers.

• Removal of Avantor product from M20 dock locations.

• Movement of Nitrogen Dewars from locations within M20 to the dock area for filling.
