Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Specialist to join our fast-paced team! In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by fulfilling orders accurately and on time. You will leverage your knowledge of QuickBooks and international shipping regulations to ensure a seamless experience for both domestic and international customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders directly from QuickBooks, ensuring all items and quantities are correct.

• Select the most appropriate and cost-effective packaging materials for each order.

• Prepare and manage international shipments, including completing customs documentation and classifying items with the correct tariff codes.

• Navigate international shipping regulations and identify any potential delays or restrictions.

• Proactively monitor incoming deliveries to ensure a smooth workflow and maximize staff efficiency.

• Receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing slips, and ensuring proper storage.

• Maintain accurate shipping records and communicate order status updates to customers as needed.

• Utilize standard Outlook features such as email, calendar, and contacts to manage communication related to shipments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and data entry.

• Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping procedures.

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.

• Proficiency in standard Outlook skills (email, calendar)

• Ability to lift and maneuver packages of 50lbs and more.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
