Shipping & Receiving Specialist II

Job Summary-

The shipping and receiving specialist I position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. This position reports to, Manager, Shipping and Receiving

The ideal candidate for this position will be a creative thinker who can drive development of unique concepts with a keen eye for details and specifics.

Responsibilities:

• Proficiently pack and ship all company products, both domestic and international.

• Prepare daily international shipments for Shipping Team to process.

• Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase.

• Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.

• Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or internal stakeholders to rectify damages and shortages.

• Receives and processes all defective products returned for replacement or credit. Enters receivables into quarantine as necessary. Controls cage access and contents for quarantined items.

• Proficiency in physically receiving the goods, gathering needed documentation, and accurately processing them to a Released state so they can be posted into NetSuite.

• Independently verify and adjust inventory from cycle counts.

• Performs basic computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.

• Able to resolve routine NetSuite error issues, working with IT and /or Customer Service.

• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications (Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills):

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Has a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a shipping & receiving department.

• Detail oriented.

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of work quality.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Must be able to lift/move 35 pounds of weight.

• Must be able to work pulling product in and out of a refrigerated unit, as well as in and out of a cold room environment of 4-8 degrees celsius.
