We have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our HOLE team. This position performs warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, picking inventory and wrapping/crating orders according to detailed order and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pack and ship customer orders.

  • Accurately receive incoming material to maintain inventory integrity.

  • Safely operate forklifts and other lift equipment, handle material and load and unload LTL carriers.

  • Organize material pulls for orders to maintain an efficient workflow.

  • Process incoming material including inspecting and receiving POs, interbranch and vendor material, customer returns and damaged freight.

  • Provide excellent customer service; answer phone, direct walk up customers to sales, and answer questions.

  • Assure timely shipment of orders and communicate issues.

  • Maintain high quality standards by following standardized procedures and processes.

  • Follow required safety and quality procedures.

  • Order and maintain proper shipping and packing supplies including skids, strapping and labels.

  • Properly tag and hold incoming LTL material or returned orders in preparation for receiving

  • Call carriers to arrange order pickups.

  • Use power tools such as chop saw, banders and packaging machines

  • Maintain equipment by following routine preventative maintenance requirements

  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Intermediate computer knowledge; capable of using inventory systems and RF scanners

  • Experience with UPS Worldship and Fed Ex shipping programs preferred

  • Experience driving a forklift; side loader and overhead crane experience a plus

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift material up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast paced team environment

  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2008, 5S / Lean a plus

  • Must be able to work overtime as required

VIEW JOBS 12/1/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-01T00:00 Key Responsibilities This position will be for 2nd shift: 3:30pm to 11:30pm. Read and interprets production orders and pack tickets. Receives materials to site by manually unloading or operating a forklift to move pallets, drums or large shipping containers. Accurately counts and verifies received material against Bill of Lading. Calculates totals and extends weights, volumes; enters or scans appropriate data into computer systems. Moves materials to warehouse area; follows instructions to place materials in location by codes and data. Reads, interprets and accurately retrieves material from warehouse for production use from released work orders. Delivers to assigned area for most effective use for the production process. Reads and interprets instructions to retrieve, assemble and prepare products/materials for shipment. Consistently achieves shipment of products, including hazardous materials without delays or returns. Prepares required shipping labels, addresses, documents and certifications. Uses appropriate shipping programs to move product to correct destination. Moves to commercial carrier transport manually or by operation of forklift. May be required to deliver product to the customer. Complies with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times. Performs other tasks as assigned. Experience and Education At least one year of directly applicable experience Functional and Technical Skills Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English. Must be able to read, interpret and complete required Shipping/Receiving/Warehousing documentation. Must be able to operate site computerized system and perform required data entry. Must be able to accurately perform required mathematical calculations typically required for shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions. Must possess the knowledge and skills required to complete hazardous material shipping and handling on national and international carriers. Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator's certificate. May be required to obtain and maintain the necessary driving licenses. Must be able to obtain DOT/IATA/IMDG/Control Goods certifications or other regulatory requirements as applicable. Must be able to perform required physical demands of the position, use hand and power material equipment, and wear all required PPE with or without reasonable accommodation.
