Process weld rod manufactured by continuous cast process utilizing straightening, stretching, grinding, cutting, deburring, polishing, and packaging to meet customer On Time Delivery requirements. Driving company vehicle when required.


Processing Operator

  • Level 1
  • Operate rod stretcher.

  • Deburr bare cast rod.

  • Mark electrodes with accordance with work orders.

  • Paint ends and package according to work orders.

Processing Operator

  • Level II
  • Perform all operations and functions of a Level 1.

  • Operate mechanical straighter independently.

  • Operate Manual dental cut-off saw.

  • Load and Unload dental ingots from tumblers.

Salary: Base $14.50 + Shift differential $0.25 + Profit Sharing Bonus paid 2x a year + Paid meal periods. POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for tasks involved in the handling of raw material and finished goods in the manufacturing of plastic products and proper packaging. This will involve making boxes and stacking boxes. Assembles pallets of finished products and prepare for warehousing. May service production lines with packing needs such as raw materials, boxes, and pallets. Will operate pallet jacks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Follows Company rules and practices. * Able to read and interpret Bill of Materials and complete required forms such as raw material log sheets and material transfers. * Follows prescribed procedures and duties such as requesting, staging and maintaining supply of raw materials such as plastic bottles, boxes, and fillers. * Seals and stacks boxes, palletizes up to 40 pounds, checks boxes for proper label identification and grinds scrap bottles. * Documents raw materials scrap variances by workstation for accountability. * Moves pallets to staging area, operates pallet jack, lift truck and stretch wrap machine. May be required to have a valid lift forklift license depending on assignment. * Relieves Packers and other Utility personnel for breaks/meals. Is required to understand Packer Inspector requirements in order to relieve and carry out functions. * Performs tasks associated with Line Clearance; * Requests and returns raw and packaging materials from and to the warehouse by completing a Material Transfer form. * Communicates material handling equipment repairs requests by writing maintenance work orders. * Performs some janitorial work. Maintains a clean and orderly work area. * Follows safety rules and GMP guidelines. * Communicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department. * Must be able to decide bottle quality. * Must meet production output requirements. * Must be able to perform the duties of the Utility position with minimum supervision. * Must be able to wear protective clothing as hair net, uniform, reinforced toe shoes, gloves, long-sleeved shirt, and earplugs. * Will lift and carry anywhere up to 40 pounds. * Actively participates in teams, ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement opportunities. * Regular attendance is an essential function. Berry will need to arrange to cover the duties in case of scheduled and unscheduled absences. Scheduled absence may be accommodated depending on the circumstance but it is disruptive to the workforce to arrange short notice coverage unscheduled absences. When assigned to Decoration Department: * Empties bottles from hoppers, prepares bottles and PS labels to return to the warehouse at the end of the production run. * Request materials such as labels. * Randomly inspects plastic container for defects before loading them into hoppers.
