Reeb Millwork an SBP Brand is currently looking for a Shipping Manager to join our VALUES based organization. Essential Functions:

• Responsible for all shipping movements, in a large manufacturing-driven warehouse facility.

• Participate in planning for optimal shipping bays.

• Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance.

• Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals.

• Prepare and maintain work records and reports of information such as employee time and wages, daily receipts, and inspection results.

• Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development.

• Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.

• Assess training needs of staff and arrange for or provide appropriate instruction.

• Estimate material, time, and staffing requirements for a given project, based on work orders, job specifications, and experience.

• Participate in the hiring process by reviewing credentials, conducting interviews, or making hiring decisions or recommendations.

• Enforce safety procedures and policies and compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other government agencies.

• Ensure co-workers are following safety rules and are demonstrating safe working behavior.

• Complete a thorough accident investigation report with corrective action when needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associate or Bachelor degree preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations management, or other related field

Experience: 7+ years related logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience

Computer Skills: MS-Office Suite, Warehouse management system (WMS), and scanner system technology.

Certificates & Licenses: mobile equipment experience; CDL license a plus

Other Requirements: Valid driver's license required. Safe driver history/record required for insurance and liability reason.
