The shipping coordinator works alongside the Shipping Manager to set goals and tasks for the day. These tasks include but are not limited to those that have been outlined below. The Shipping Coordinator position requires an individual who is motivated to set and achieve the tasks as outlined below, have strong work ethic and a can do attitude. The shipping Coordinator must be able to work with minimum supervision, have the capability to work with the team and be able to see the overall picture of what is required. Strong computer skills are a requirement and include Word, Excel, and the warehouse management software.
Opens WMS to determine picks for the day:
Total overall pick
Picks by zones (ROS1, TUG1, BW1, etc)
Lists (EVAS, WVAS, etc).
Sets the board for the day:
Writes pick numbers by zones, lists on white board
Assigns pickers to zones based on priority
Updates hourly pick productivity per person as well as picks left overall and by zones.
Along with help from Shipping manager, adjusts personnel (ROS operators and Marshallers) to best maximize the productivity to complete daily goals.
Performs daily tasks associated with load out:
Actions and Kick-outs
Endcap reports, resolving issues that may arise
Bay reports, resolving issues that may arise
Ships trucks upon completion of above tasks
Shipping coordinator continues to update the board and assign pick task and movement of personnel throughout the day.
