Shipping Coordinator

PCC Structurals - Division Distribution Center (DDC)

Mission/Duties:
1.Reviews process records and related accompanying documentation for completeness and correctness, interfacing with appropriate department(s) to resolve discrepancies.
2.Compiles and completes Shipping paperwork package of X-rays, certificates, etc, in accordance with Technique Card instructions.
3.Coordinates with appropriate Quality Control and Engineering personnel for final approvals as required, (MRB, VSE packages, etc).
4.Routes completed Shipping paperwork package to Shipping personnel.
5.Miscellaneous office functions as required.
6.Prepares the labeling and packaging of medical product.
7.Coordinates the scheduling of the production workload.

Requirements:

1.High School diploma or equivalent with good math skills.
2.Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
3.Must have good communication skills, capable of working from written and verbal instructions, with little supervision.
4.Must be able to work under pressure and overtime as required.
5.Prior Shipping department experience preferred.

VIEW JOBS 11/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-19T00:00 General Position Summary: Contribute to the smooth and efficient distribution of Columbia Sportswear product by coordinating the efficient and accurate processing of all outbound shipments including verification, customer compliance, monitor pick reports and initiate invoice processing. * Organize and communicate information to internal departments and outside contacts as directed. * Perform departmental customer service and quality control support tasks. Perform a variety of routine clerical and administrative tasks for the Shipping Department. * Prepare, process and monitor confirmed shipments. Initiate invoice processing in Pickticket Management System (PkMS). Investigate and solve PkMS production concerns * Investigate shipping related documentation issues and problems to complete resolution. * Organize and communicate information to internal departments and outside contacts as needed. * Perform other related Shipping Department coordinator duties as assigned. * Maintain accuracy and attention to detail to ensure accountability for all orders shipped. * Maintain positive open lines of communication with all Columbia Sportswear management, staff and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization. * Ability to cope with a stressful work environment and cordially interact with coworkers to accomplish common tasks. * Direct tasks of temporary personnel as needed. * Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. * Gloves are required PPE for all production jobs in the Distribution Center. Specific Job Skills: * Possess knowledge of effective customer service techniques and strategies. * Working knowledge of internal traffic and shipping procedures, transportation and shipping logistics and freight carrier standards, policies and procedures. * Must be able to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests/inquiries with some supervisory involvement. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English with excellent verbal and written skills. * Basic math and good organizational skills. * Must be proficient in keyboard use and word processing. * Ability to maintain calm demeanor while dealing with difficult accounts and soothe distraught or unhappy internal and external clients. * Good research skills. * Extensive knowledge of company product line. * Mental ability to consider different solutions to a problem and choose the appropriate action, often under pressure.�� * Physical ability to use telephone, computer hardware/software including keyboard, type, sit and stand for extended periods of time, and occasionally lift/carry up to 60 pounds.
