To maintain superior customer focus, we are seeking a SHIPPING CLERK to join our team.

This position will be responsible for the shipping of our GO Switch and Switchbox products as specified to meet order requirements and on-time delivery of those products. For the right candidate, this role can lead to other challenging opportunities in our supply chain in Louisville, or perhaps within the vast Emerson network of companies around the world!

Responsibilities

  • Verifies the accuracy of outgoing shipments and orders

  • Computes duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of product that is exported to foreign counties

  • Processes US and International paperwork for transaction completeness and accuracy

  • Ensures that safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities

  • Receives and reads customer order to identify item(s) to be pulled

  • Fills customers' orders in accordance with specifications on order form

  • Packages orders using appropriate shipping containers and packaging

  • Operates standard or automatic machines, such as electronic scales and tapes machines

  • Is able to work split shifts, when required

  • Accurately prepares orders for shipment to include secure packaging and wrapping

  • Responsible for accurate shipments (product and documentation)

  • Responsible accurate reporting and on-time shipments of customer product as require

  • Completes other assignments as assigned by management or designate

Education/Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

  • Minimum of two years warehouse inventory experience

  • Forklift operation

Pay Rate: 14.14/per hour

Hours: Mondays, 10a-8p AND Tues-Fridays, 11a-8p Premier Performance Products is looking for its next shipping and receiving enthusiast to join our warehouse team! The Lead - Shipping and Receiving is responsible for picking and shipping of all orders from the warehouse, as well as moving freight for shipping, packing, and boxing in preparation for shipping to customers. Receive product and put away on shelves in order to keep stock replenished and up to date. Maintain the safety and neatness of warehouse including sweeping, pickup up boxes, and organizing. Help with inventory count on a periodic basis. This position serves as a mentor for other warehouse employees. May be responsible for directing daily duties and making sure work is completed when the warehouse manager is unavailable. Works under the general direction and guidance of the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for reporting issues or concerns that may have occurred when warehouse manager was not available or present. Where youll spend your time: * Receive product that has been ordered and enter into computer system. Notify accounting product has been received. Place items in correct place on shelves * Prepare items for shipment to customers. Locate and move items item from shelves. Box product to ensure safe shipping without item being damaged and enter required information in system. Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift cargo and guide loads. * Move items by lifting or carrying by hand. May use equipment such as fork lifts, ladders, dollies etc. * Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported * Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers. * Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. * Use handheld scanner and computer systems to account for products being received or shipped * Requires following safety procedures and instructions * Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. * Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. * May be responsible for returned merchandise and crediting customers * Responsible for directing and mentoring other warehouse employees when the warehouse manager is not available or present * Responsible for notifying warehouse manager or higher level of manager of issues or concerns that may have occurred in the warehouse managers absence * Other duties as assigned.
