The Orizon Division of Spitzer Industries, Inc. provides high-quality fabricated structural steel for the petro-chemicals, refining, power generation, exploration and production, and offshore industries.

We also offer precision mooring and dock fabrication, as well as skid units for gas compression, fire, water, electric generation, and chemical processing.

Position: Hourly Non-Exempt

Summary of Duties

Ensures Company and warehouse shipping procedures are followed. Assists with all warehouse yard activities, storage and distribution of warehouse received equipment / materials, reports needed maintenance of company owned or leased warehouse assigned equipment, moving / assigning undocumented material to the quarantine area, and receiving and disposition of any incoming Company and / or Client materials as directed by Supervisor.

Responsibilities

This position will have the following general/minimum responsibilities:

Obtain training and certification on and for overhead crane

Safely loading, unloading and yard transfer / movement of received material.

Perform assigned warehouse activities according to warehouse requirements, Company procedures and as directed by Warehouse Supervisor.

Scans and track all material being loaded for outbound freight. Being shipped from our facility and as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Take pictures of all material / equipment being shipped from our facility (Client, leased equipment, equipment shipping to another facility, being returned to Supplier) when it has been loaded on the transport for delivery and as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Ensure all material being shipped is tagged, wrapped and secured in a manner that will allow safe transport to destination.

Write on board all material being loaded on trailer. Prior to starting a new loads per each load in process. & report any discrepancy.

Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills

The following education, experience and knowledge are preferred for this position:

2 to 3+ years of experience in similar or related position.

Good communication skills.

Knowledge of Company warehouse receiving procedures and policies.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Exposure to possible shop hazards including but not limited to welding fumes, heat, flash burns, skin burns, high noise level and eye injuries from welding arc and grinders. Spends a large percentage of the time in warehouse, shop and yard.

Standing 99% of the time, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting, pushing and pulling.
