Shipping Clerk (2024-052)

JOB SUMMARYThe Shipping Clerk will schedule, process and track product shipments in partnership with internal and external customers.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Perform administrative duties in support of activities related to the shipping of finished goods * Communicate and coordinate with transportation companies * Handle routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle * Log order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary * Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges * Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped * Review customer ordersMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * Demonstrates awareness of job duties (typically ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS* As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible. * An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.Salary is $18.46 - $24.97 per hour.
