Wholesale Operations is looking for a Shipping Checker!

Overview

This is a full-timewarehouse position that is responsible for organizing and coordinating the loading of merchandise to ensure orders are complete, accurate and loaded per the loading documents (TLW). Assist shipping department in all different aspects, such as in the HBC/GM area and in the selection and receiving process along with Distribution Supervisors.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee the work of loaders.

  • Review the sequence of loading of orders corresponding to the location of stops.

  • Review Trailer Loading Worksheet and other related paperwork for accuracy and completeness.

  • Perform quality control on selected pallets.

  • Follow up on special instructions to ensure they are complete and accurate.

  • Assist member stores with will calls.

  • Inspect all inbound freight from carriers, such as UPS and FedEx, for proper quantity.

  • Perform Label Control Clerk functions as needed.

  • Execute observations as instructed.

  • Comply with all safety and sanitation rules, regulations, and guidelines; make on the spot correction of unsafe acts and maintain an inspection ready distribution center.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
