Shipping Assistant - Full-Time Nights

• Verify the quantity of parcels on each shipment
• Ensure that all labels are placed with designated parcels
• Assist with parcel replacement process
• Load trucks in an effective and efficient manner ensuring trucks are properly loaded to avoid damage to material
• Move freight from the conveyors to the pallets/load building area
• Wrap pallets in an effective and efficient manner
• Assist with the moving, lifting and stacking of material using hand trucks, BT’s and other devices as required
• Assist with the preparation of supplier returns
• Assist drivers with problems pertaining to their loads
• Ensure that shipping department is kept neat and clean
• Follow Kohl and Frisch’s safety policies and procedures
• Ensure trucks are loaded to avoid damage to material

• BT Certification is required (Employer training for BT Certification will be provided)
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational / prioritization skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, under limited supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience in high volume distribution/warehouse environment

Hours of Work

• Sunday to Thursday 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
