Shipping And Receiving I- Material Handler- Night Shift

Position Summary

• Main duties: Process stock, unload, move and store a variety of material, parts or products. Check identifications, quantities, report shortages and demand goods, ensure first in/first out inventory rotation. Move materials between departments, fill orders from storage areas and warehouse stock. Process stock tickets and operate various fork lifts and pallet jacks

• Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures

• Maintain traceability and identification of product

• Strong verbal and written communication

• Proficient in all types of scales used in facility within 30 days of hire

• Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days

• Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills.

• Utilize Lean tools and be active particpant in Lean events and High Performance Teams

• Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.

• Train, Perform or Backup in Receiving or Shipping or Cycle Count (but only one of the three);

• Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment

• Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends

• Other assignments as assigned by Management

• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand and walk the majority of the shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

• Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

• Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse, receiving or shipping environment, perferred

• Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English

• Math Skills: Medium math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiple, divide, convert fractions to decimals, ability to follow formulas for conversions (ex: SF to LF)
