Imperial Dade, a leading national distributor, has a Shipping & Receiving Clerk position Birmingham, Alabama.

The Warehouse Admin Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the warehouse operations team.

The hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality.

  • Process and document shipments by recording received items, labeling, and sorting them appropriately.

  • Prepare outgoing shipments by securely packing items, labeling packages with shipping information, and arranging transportation with carriers.

  • Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickup and delivery times for shipments.

  • Maintain inventory records by updating stock levels, reconciling discrepancies, and reporting shortages or damages.

  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment statuses, discrepancies, and other logistics issues.

  • Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or related field is a plus.

  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately inspect shipments and maintain records.

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners.

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Prior experience with customer service or supply chain logistics is beneficial.
