Shipping And Receiving Clerk

SAIC is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our customer site in Hanahan, SC. This position is 100% on- site.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: (Included but not limited to)* Coordinate and expedite flow of material * Assemble orders and preparing goods for shipment * Recording shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability * Receiving, unpacking materials/supplies and reporting damages and discrepancies for accounting * Reimbursement and record keeping purposes; and completing shipping and receiving reports * Move parts and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility manager or facility staff engineer priorities * Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify type specified for current project; and compute amount of material needed for specific job orders * Candidates will be trained on the use of a forklift, no experience necessaryRequired Education and Experience:*

High School Diploma or GED* Be able to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following: * Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis * Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods * Walk distances of at least one-half mile daily * Move and arrange heavy cable supplies and electronic equipment * Valid US Driver's license with REAL ID verificationCLEARANCE:* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
