THE OPPORTUNITY

Louisiana Cat is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our growing operations at the New Iberia, LA location.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

• Performing incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

• Verifying and documenting incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment

• Utilizing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, production schedules, and other documentation to assist the Supervisor in determining shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet the schedules

• Bringing material from shipping and receiving to warehouse storage and to work areas as required to meet fabrication and assembly schedules

• Utilizing corporate software to electronically manage the data, warehouse inventory, and material movement

• Managing space requirements to store material in the warehouse

• Maintaining warehouse forklift and other associated equipment

• Follow all safety rules and procedures; ensure shipping, receiving, and all warehouse operations meet safety requirements

• Complete training requirements identified by Caterpillar to earn and maintain job specific training

• Perform other duties as assigned

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or (GED) equivalent
• REQUIRED: 1-3 years of shipping and receiving experience
• REQUIRED: Forklift operation experience

JOB FACTS

• SHIFT SCHEDULE: Monday

• Friday 8:00 am

• 5:00 pm, some Saturday shifts required. 40+ hours a week.

• WORK ENVIRONMENT: Requires physical movement, lifting, squatting, and bending per the job description
