Overview
Rotary International is looking for an experienced Shipping and Logistics Analyst to analyze and support our shipping and logistics programs. In this position, you focus on supply chain and vendor management, so having forecasting and supply chain experience is crucial. Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in logistics or business and several years of logistics experience.
You Will Have
5+ years experience in procurement, logistics, finance, or related field
Ability to analyze large and sometimes disparate datasets within business contexts
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, including demonstrated advanced Excel skills
Experience preparing information for varying audiences (sometimes informational, sometimes for decision-making)
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and effectiveness.
Experience with MS Office application suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
Experience with one or more ERP/MRP platforms (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.).
Experience with other computer systems (enterprise inventory/order fulfillment, web-based shipping, etc.)
Valid Illinois driver's license

You Will Be Responsible For
Shipping & Mailing Analysis
Track and analyze mail, shipping, and freight costs globally
Collect and analyze data from various in-house and third-party logistics sources
Summarize and deliver reports with suggestions for improvement.
Look for opportunities to improve, simplify, or generate savings in the areas of mailing and shipping
Create forecasting models for shipping and shipping materials
Development of new reports in Oracle and Excel
Analyze impact of annual rate increases
Support annual budget development process for Supply Chain Management
Mailing Operations:
Manage relationships with USPS, FedEx, UPS, global mail provider, and any other providers
Support monthly magazine mailing
Monitor shipping procedures for inefficiencies
Support annual Presidential move-out shipment
Research and support Customs clearance issues
Investigate any mail and shipping issues
Liaise with mail room staff and management
Support the global mail process of production print projects: verify counts and weights, verify appropriate class and rate, create BOLs; confirm invoicing, mediate and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
Ensure adherence to Rotary's Data Privacy policies when working with suppliers.
Other responsibilities
Backup support for Order Fulfillment Coordinator
Mail pick-up from Evanston Post Office, print vendors, freight forwarders, etc., as needed
Supporting distributed buyer network on unique situations.
Complete special projects as needed.
