Ideal Products of America is currently hiring a Receiver/Order Picker to unload, receive, store and distribute inventory. Our Warehouse team members play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.

  • Cycle count inventory, storing in orderly and accessible manner, while inspecting stock items for wear or defects and reporting to supervision.

  • Ensure loads are complete and secured to minimize damage and breakage.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs during physical loading/unloading of trucks.

  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours to perform job related tasks.

What qualifications do you need?

  • Compute basic math problems.

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.

  • Forklift certification is preferred, but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Courteously greet trucking representatives and suppliers when they arrive at facility.

  • Coordinate trucking representatives to prepare shipments to be received

  • Move shipments into staging or docking area. This task may require operation of a forklift or jack or manual lifting of products and materials.

  • Inspect shipments for compliance to specifications listed on Packing Slips. Count and verify products received with products ordered on Packing Slips. Record discrepancies or damaged material on purchase orders and present purchase orders to Purchasing Department.

  • Move product shipments into proper inventory areas. This task may require operation of a forklift or jack or manual lifting of products and materials.

  • Daily maintenance and clean-up of warehouse area including sweeping floors, empty garbage, ensuring that driveway is clean and uncluttered, and moving product or inventory into designated areas.

  • Review Picking Lists generated by Customer Service Department for product requirements to ship to customers. Observe and comply with customer specifications and special instructions on Packing Orders such as day and time of pick up, quantity of product, need to phone customer, etc.

  • Pick products from inventory to comply with specifications of Picking Lists. This task may require operation of a forklift or jack or manual lifting of products and materials.

  • Coordinate and assemble product for customer pick up at staging or docking area. This may require packaging product into boxes or plastic bags. Product shipments must be ready and prepared in the staging area when customers or trucking representatives arrive to receive product. Ensure that bills of lading (weigh bills) are prepared for shipment.

  • For inter-branch shipments, move and pack products and materials into trucks or trailers efficiently and densely organized. This task may require operation of a forklift or jack or manual lifting of products and materials.

  • Ensure that customers or trucking representatives verify products and materials and sign the packing slip to confirm receiving the shipment. Ensure that all copies of documents (bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, etc.) have been received from customer or trucking representatives.

  • Coordinate and move products for customers or trucking representatives into shipping vehicles. This task may require operation of a forklift or jack or manual lifting of products and materials.

  • Deliver bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, and packing orders to appropriate coworker.

  • Daily maintenance and clean-up of warehouse area including sweeping floors, empty garbage, ensuring that driveway is clean and uncluttered, and moving product or inventory into designated areas.

  • Inspect inventory area for proper storage of product and cleanliness.

  • Report inventory category discrepancies that exceed minimum or maximum requirements to Supervisor.

  • Count inventory levels, comparing to system and investigate and correct any discrepancies.

  • Employees are expected to assist in physical inventory count conducted quarterly.
