Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for inventory The Shipper/Receiver is responsible to run the department in the absence of the Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Drive a forklift after training and with permission of the department SupervisorProtective equipment such as safety shoes is required 100% of the time. Safety glasses may also berequired when performing certain duties.Ability to understand and adhere to safety rules, regulations
This individual must be able to perform all the duties of the Shipper/Receiver plus the following:Unload TrucksScan into inventory items received
Organize & staging received items on theirs assigned place
Make sure data put into the AIS system is accurate
Work very close with Production Control to keep an accurate inventory
Work very close with Purchasing Dept. to make sure inbound shipments will be delivery in a timely fashion.Perform weekly and monthly inventories and assist in bi-weekly inventories.Train new employees.Perform a variety of other tasks of equal or less complexity as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred
Experience in a warehouse environment or manufacturing setting
The general physical requirements are standing and walking on concrete at least 10 hours per day,Lifting up to 50 pounds a distance of 1-5 feet the equivalent of 2 hours per day (lifting belt provided),Some climbing, pushing and/or pulling.Ability to read, write and speak English.Individual should be computer literate with knowledge of data entry, MS office applications.
Compensation: $20/hr
