Shift Available: 1st Shift Hours: 7:00AM - 3:00PM EST, Monday - Friday

Compensation: $18.93 / hour

Job Summary:

Pull orders from warehouse: prepare for shipping (data entry). Examine cartons ready for shipment for proper identification: verify correct item/stock; prepare, print, and file correspondence, records, forms, and related shipping documents; assist in maintaining departmental finished goods inventory; perform cycle counts and general clerical duties for Shipping Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull orders from warehouse and prepare for shipment. Verify correct item number and stock quantity.

  • Coordinate and correspond with couriers and discuss all logistical operations, make arrangement for pick up, including delivery instructions and shipment status.

  • Prepare all shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs documents for international shipments.

  • Coordinate with warehouse/receiving clerk on other shipments that are picked up from the Receiving dock, including raw material shipments.

  • Maintain incoming stock and put it in racks. Pull cartons for old age check for reprocesses or QA audits.

  • Store and log in Finished Goods daily production. "Build" pallets in SAP, assigning HUs to SUs.

  • Load trucks. Pull cartons for expired materials and scrap it by scrap report.

  • Verify inclusion of all certifications and tailgate samples when required. Report shipping issues to department manager.

  • Ship rejected material back to vendor following return authorization documents including completion of necessary paperwork (i.e. manual pack slip, bill of lading, etc.) Maintain documentation regarding freight claims, shipping errors and customers returns.

  • Write up paperwork for equipment, molds, dies, etc., being shipped out for repair.

  • Invoicing: Add freight charges, credit, and debit per miscellaneous invoice requests through Corporate.

  • Fax or email paperwork to customer as requested on their order, such as, certs and customer documents.

  • Communicate with Corporate Customer Service Representatives on issues or clarification on shipments.

  • Maintain "Packet" files and inventory card files.

  • Perform Cycle Counts for Shipping Dept.

  • Do daily upload, inventory allocation of orders, inventory adjustments, etc.

  • Use good housekeeping practices to maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area.

  • Follow all safety rules and safety procedures.

  • Performs other duties, as assigned based on business needs.

  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.

  • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • 0 - 3 Years of experience

  • Strong clerical and math skills, good organized work skills with a high degree of accuracy: ability to coordinate truck services/sales services. Data entry and computer literate. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Previous shipping experience preferred. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

  • Will be required to obtain Forklift certification.

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to <05% of the time

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and write.

  • Good communication skills to interact with others in a positive manner.

  • Must be able to understand direction and adhere to established procedures.

  • Continuous lifting to 50 lbs.
