Located at our Mt. Comfort, IN.facility, 10 minutes east of Indianapolis
1st Shift, 6:00am
2nd Shift, 2:30pm
Purpose: Perform all standard & non-standardized functions within the shipping department as directed by the Shipper & Shift Manager. Will be cross-trained to work in other departments as needed based on volume.
Load, unload, pick, put away, process, etc. as needed/directed.
Plan pack waves on the sortation line. Ensure ship date integrity is maintained with fluid load lanes.
Use shared drive report to assign any shipments that fall within the current ship window.
Assist with any admin duties within the department.
Have full knowledge of customer compliance as it relates to Bills of lading and proper loading procedures.
Assist distribution planners with all forms of shipment planning, including route changes, date moves and cancellations.
Have intricate knowledge of the express mail functions.
Create inventory systematically through WMS system.
Produce international shipment documentation based on country requirements.
Develop and maintain shipping logs to track shipping exceptions.
Communicate status of rush waves/VIP orders to the business.
Assist with timely systematic departure of trailers.
Work directly with Forklift department on pulling prioritization.
Perform all duties as directed by the Shipper and Shift Manager.
Customer service/order fulfillment
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Working knowledge of MARC system
Able to adjust to business needs
Ability to manage and resolve multiple exceptions.
High School diploma
Leadership experience preferred
