If yes, then apply today at Electric Boat and join our dedicated team building the world's most advanced submarines Benefits include: Paid training Medical, Dental, & Vision 401K plan with up to 6% employer match Paid vacations and holidays Growth opportunities Shift Premium Health and Wellness Programs Commuter Van Service/RIPTA Tuition Reimbursement Programs Safety Boot Reimbursement Program Duties include: Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of foundations, structures, bulkheads, frames, components and deck packages Developing a working knowledge of structural weld joint fit-up/weld symbols, burning and grinding operations Aligning parts in relation to each other using jacks, clips and wedges through use of blueprints and templates Tack-welding structural parts as required Ability to read and interpret written policies, procedures and guidelines as work assignments will be accomplished using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, and shipyard procedures Basic Mathematic ability This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Qualifications Required: 1 plus years related experience or relevant training High school diploma or equivalent Available to work all shifts Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required Ability to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and perform basic layout functions Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools Preferred: Experience working in the construction industry or a manufacturing environment Basic mathematical skills Metal fabrication experience and military shipbuilding experience Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs Military/Navy experience Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals Physical Qualifications Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting Environmental Attributes Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily
