Carrols makes sure you are an important part of customers having it their way! The ultimate responsibility for our Shift Supervisor is to ensure that the store is whipping up Whoppers and keeping our customers happy and full! The shift managers are the chiefs of their team, and both inspire their staff and resolve issues by using excellent organizational, communication and developmental skills. Having the knowledge of the team members' responsibilities and keeping inventory are crucial to success in this position. Completing paperwork, managing financials and issuing/delivering deposits also come with the job. The Shift Supervisors lead the daily shifts and wrap up the store at the end of the day.

The Shift Supervisor position requires several physical demands including:

  • Counting money accurately

  • Reading and writing in English

Leadership responsibilities include hiring and training, planning and assigning daily work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, resolving problems, mentoring and coaching. The focus of this position is to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges. Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities) * Supervises exempt and non-exempt contributors * Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. * Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. * Provides information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. * Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change. * Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. * Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. * Lead continuous improvement projects or Lean events that support annual goals for productivity, service, cost control and work environment improvements. * Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices * Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs * Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date * Stay current with customer needs and strategies; utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates) to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, Customers, technical staff) * Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results * Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies * Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities * Identify improvement opportunities (proactive and reactive) * Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services. Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency. * Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs. * Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices. * Responsible for delivering a Turnover rate commensurate with the annual site goals. Qualifications: * 1+ yrs Planning and Scheduling Experience. * 1+ yrs experience in Supervisor role or equivalent level role required. * Able to lead projects and execute desired results. * Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, WMS, Easy Metrics or other similar systems. * Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 45 pounds. * Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.  Noise level is usually moderate. Education And/Or experience: * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or HS Diploma with adequate related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
