Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide direction and assistance in the completion of daily merchandise and operating tasks and to perform such other duties as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws. This position does not involve, hiring, firing, or disciplining associates or recommending any such action. Situations surrounding these issues should be brought to the attention of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Provide superior customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, handling all customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner, and responding to customer complaints/concerns with a sense of urgency to see to their resolution.

  • Attend to merchandising of plan-o-grams within seasonal departments, end caps, displays and basic inline departments as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.

  • Control inventory by performing proper receiving and stocking including accurate cycle counting, processing merchandise transfers according to procedures, and reporting inventory problems to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager.

  • Accountable for store cash and other financial assets, reconciling cash register drawers, preparing deposits, and ordering changes from the bank as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.

  • Assist with the general maintenance and appearance of the store by ensuring a safe and pleasing environment for both customers and associates; respond to any unexpected emergencies to ensure the protection of company assets.

  • Oversee that store inventory is regularly inspected in accordance with the Product Freshness Review Schedule as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.

  • Ensure that all outdated product and product with less than 30 days until expiration is removed from the sales floor to be processed through the established returns process.

  • Manage tasks and supervise store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable. Supervisory Experience

Experience / Requirements

  • In accordance with state law, candidates must satisfy minimum age requirements to sell and/or supervise the sale of alcohol and/or tobacco products.

  • Ability to pass drug test.

Education

At least one (1) year of experience in retail, food service, restaurant or customer service industry, preferably at a supervisor level, and/or a two (2) year college degree.

VIEW JOBS 10/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-07T00:00 Job Description Provide working supervision of Timet's Raw Materials Processing manufacturing operations during assigned shift as authorized by the Production Manager of Raw Materials Processing. Issue work assignments to Lead Operators as appropriate. Ensure that safety, product quality; personnel performance, operating parameters, and equipment maintenance meet established department goals and standards. Coordinate resources and manpower to maximize productivity and priorities and objectives. Essential Functions Lead, train, supervise, evaluate, and coach assigned manufacturing personnel. Assist Lead Operators with planning work and use of resources (people, tools, equipment, etc.) to maximize efficiency and the quality of the work performed. Review melt schedules, blend heats, standard manufacturing procedures, quality control requirements, check lists, set-up information, previous results, and other data necessary to accurately communicate requirements and answer questions. Review equipment operations (shears, presses, blenders, material handling equipment, etc.) to ensure reliability. Take corrective actions to be sure equipment is operating properly, maintained, and that personnel are correctly operating the equipment. Review and approve all production employee weekly e-time data. , vacation schedules and holiday schedules to ensure all manufacturing requirements are met. Assist and oversee all projects related to capacity expansion, cost reductions, safety, productivity improvements, and quality improvements. Work closely with other Foremen, Process Engineers, Melt Shop Managers, Safety & Training Specialist and Q.A. Managers to ensure all goals are met. Accept weekend and holiday "manufacturing management" assignments as required. Effectively communicate company and department goals, achievements, problems, solutions, practices, changes, and policies. Encourage positive communication. Enforce all company policies, rules, and regulations. Conduct all operations in a clean and safe environment. Schedule appropriate cleaning to maintain high level of quality culture. Enforce all safety rules and regulations. Maintain high ethical standards and integrity. Conduct all operations in a professional and businesslike manner. Lead & participate in continuous improvement projects and teams. Complete and issue production, maintenance, and project status reports and memos as required. Maintain a program of professional growth through selected seminars, courses, trade magazines, books, journals, etc. Communicate and conduct oneself in a professional manner, which is conducive to a healthy and productive business environment Assist the Training & Safety Specialist (as needed) by conducting (teaching) in-house training (safety, operational, quality, maintenance, and orientation) classes for employees. Education and Experience H.S. Diploma or GED, additional schooling preferred Previous supervisory experience highly desired Strong organizational and communications skills (verbal and written). Strong math skills and a solid understanding of statistical data reporting.
