Position Summary

AutoZone's Full-Time Shift Supervisors assist the Store Manager with leading company initiatives and ensuring maximum productivity, training high performing AutoZoners in a safe environment, driving sales, controlling expenses and shrink, and remaining compliant with company procedures in accordance to AutoZone's expectation. Shift Supervisors exceeds customer's expectation by delivering a WOW! Customer shopping experience on assigned shifts by Living the Pledge every day.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assists Store Manager with supervising, training and developing store personnel

  • Assumes responsibility for the store operation and commercial department in the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager's absence, on assigned shifts

  • Assists with management of the Commercial and Hub Departments, (as applicable), to ensure commercial accounts and stores are serviced and deliveries are made as promised

  • Delegates and ensures store merchandising tasks are completed in a timely manner

  • Operates cash registers and follows established cash handling duties, including but not limited to deposits, petty cash and lane accountability

  • Ensures all company policies, and loss prevention procedures are followed

  • Utilizes ZNET to help customers locate merchandise or find suitable alternatives

  • Maintains a safe working environment while ensuring AutoZoners are implementing those practices including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

  • Monitors cash flow, inventory and security control

  • Maintains sales productivity, store appearance and merchandising standards

  • Conducts and reviews all opening and closing procedures

  • Manages emergency situations and conduct proper emergency procedures

  • Follows proper accident procedures

  • Provides feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the store manager

  • Assists with monitoring and managing all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to maintain a safe work environment

  • Addresses customer concerns and resolves them with a goal of turning a complaint into a compliment

  • Processes returns and effectively manages inventory

  • Communicates AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner

  • Motivates AutoZoners to provide WOW! Customer Service, enhance productivity level and market products to enhance sales and profits

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • ASE Certified preferred

  • Demonstrates high level of integrity

  • Excellent communication and decision making skills

  • Ability to drive customer service

About Maryville Academy About the Transitional Program for Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) Involved Youth: The Transitional Program for Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) Involved Youth provides residential and support services to young women under the age of 21 to help them successfully transition from the Juvenile Justice System to life in the community. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the overall organization and ongoing development of an assigned residential setting during a specific shift. Monitor the interactions of staff and youth to ensure appropriate service delivery in a safe and nurturing environment. Assist in the training and supervision of Youth Care Workers in order to ensure compliance with program expectations including the Maryville philosophy and Clinical Model of Youth Care. Provide consultation to Youth Care Workers in both verbal and written form. Provides shift leadership, direction, and coordination in order to facilitate the integration of resources for the betterment of the youth enrolled in the program. Engages in the performance of managerial duties. Customarily and regularly directs three or more other Youth Care Workers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Supervises three or more other Youth Care Workers; * Provides input into the development of treatment plans and objectives; * Participates in the milieu while observing and addressing interactions of staff and youth to provide constructive feedback both verbally and in written form; * Provides ongoing consultations/evaluations for Youth Care Workers and maintains programmatic files for subordinates in conjunction with the Program Manager; * Assists with the orientation of program participants and staff members; * Oversees the written documentation required daily for each youth, including, but not limited to record documentation, billing logs, medical logs, and specific information as requested by the Treatment Team; * Leads shift transition meetings and participates in staff meetings and in-service trainings, as needed; * Provides coordination of daily activities including therapy sessions, recreation, meal planning, visitations, the self-administration of medication by the youth and group interventions; * Directs and encourages staff members when dealing with crisis situations; * Participates in continued performance quality improvement; * Performs other work related duties as assigned. OTHER FUNCTIONS: * Assists with the allocation of daily financial resources in accordance with the programmatic budget; * Performs duties to ensure youth/staff ratios are met daily; * Transports youth in a Maryville van, as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: * Minimum of one year of experience appropriate to population being served. * Minimum of 25 years of age. Skills /Knowledge: * Ability to implement the Maryville Model of Care; * Ability to engage youth in a manner which encourages autonomy through the development of problem solving skills, as well as fostering the understanding and development of new concepts and skills; most often these activities occur in a group or 1:1 context; * Successful completion of initial and ongoing training requirements; * Ability to drive a fifteen passenger van; * Demonstrate skill in working with and managing children of the type served in the program; * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing, with Maryville youth, supervisors, coworkers, subordinates, support agencies, and a variety of internal, as well as external, consumers; * Knowledge and understanding of minority group cultures; * Working knowledge of the principles and practices of basic supervision and management; * Ability to learn and use computer technology; * Knowledge of Program Plan and licensing requirements; * MHP Physical Demands: * Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods; able to walk up and down stairs; * Required to lift/ move objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds; * Must possess the ability to provide physical restraint to youth; * Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above. Environment and Scheduling: * Work is performed in, and in association with, group home settings, including but not limited to schools, recreational facilities, court rooms, hospitals, correctional/detention institutions, and various community settings; * Duties may involve contact with youth who may be threatening, aggressive and/or under the influence of drugs or alcohol; * Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary; * May be scheduled to work on weekends, evenings, and/or holidays; * Duties include 24 hour on-call and immediate response to emergency needs of the program.
