What we expect from you

To be successful as a Shift Manager, we expect you to:

  • Exhibit leadership and model our values

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Have at least 6 months of restaurant, retail, customer service focused, or equivalent experience

  • Be able to multi-task while maintaining composure, give and take direction, work well in a team environment, and have a strong service focus

  • Have or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification by end of training

The Production Manager will be responsible for safety, product quality and quantity, personnel hiring, development and training, departmental budgets, cost reduction and control, teamwork development, and clear and effective communication. This position also serves as a key interface between manufacturing plants and with all supporting departments including Maintenance, Shipping/Warehouse, Technical Services, Quality Assurance, Central Engineering, Scheduling, and R&D. Job Responsibilities: * Review and coordinate daily production operations. * Oversee product and formula changes as well as any necessary changes to equipment and facility needs. * Actively monitor plant safety results and maintain focus on its importance through daily activities, decisions, and interactions with others. * Leadership is required to counsel, coach and develop all direct and indirect reports. * Provide the necessary direction for initiating and implementing a variety of projects. * Continually interface with departmental personnel, as well as supporting departments, to ensure that a team-building atmosphere is being enhanced and fostered at all levels and positions. * Establish annual expense budgets including labor and supplies measuring in the millions of dollars. * Support Carlisle's cost reduction program by implementing and initiating projects of a cost reduction nature such as expense control, methods improvement, capacity or machine improvement. * Meet with Vendors in relations to the process and cost savings initiatives. * Interact with other department managers and leads on a daily basis in a positive, productive and team oriented manner. * Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical related field is preferred * 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a lamination or plastics manufacturing environment * Minimum of three years supervision and leadership experience * The ability to build partnerships, interact and communication at all levels within the company, as well as the ability to adjust to different situations is required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities * Six Sigma, 5-S principles and Lean/Continuous Improvement background a plus When you join CCM, you'll become part of a team that looks out for you, listens to your ideas and appreciates your work.
